Web Designer/Developer

Full-Time Position, Permanent
Annual Salary: $45,000 – $48,000
Company Benefits, 2 Weeks Annual Vacation

The Web Designer/Developer operates in a support role to Yardstick clients, assisting in the design and development of testing and training websites. Working in the Yardstick proprietary platform, this role will utilize initiative, creativity, and self-direction to launch client websites and assist in the strategic and ongoing management of websites to ensure their success and customer satisfaction.

Primary Role and Responsibilities

  • Design and build testing and training websites using proprietary software. This includes liaising with customers, customizing platform settings (we will train you) and supporting customers through their lifecycle with Yardstick
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers in support of their site needs
  • Supporting clients and other Yardstick staff in design-related requirements
  • Utilizing design expertise to enhance the Yardstick brand, as directed by management
  • Other various task from time to time, as directed by management or their designate

Web/IT Customer Support Specialist

Full-Time Position, Permanent
Annual Salary: $38,000 – $40,000

The Web/IT Customer Support Specialist operates as a project manager, ensuring the smooth and timely execution of tasks related to Yardstick customers. Utilizing outstanding multi-tasking and organizational abilities, coupled with some technical ability, this role is directly responsible for the positive support experience of our customers.

Primary Role and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and executing the build and launch of Yardstick platform customers which includes liaising with customers, configuring all aspects of a customer’s website, and supporting customers through their lifecycle with Yardstick
  • Work with web designers to establish the look and feel of a site and then implement the HTML/CSS to make the site work as specified
  • Conduct QA/QC of new sites including testing all functionality and cross-browser compatibility testing
  • Recommend solutions to customer questions with regards to navigation, functionality, content, data quality & entitlements. Interact with various Yardstick departments to resolve issues
  • Provide professional & courteous training of clients in person, over the telephone, or via webinar of Yardstick applications
  • Manage client support tickets in our customer service ticketing application (Zendesk). Ensuring persistent and through follow up with clients providing seamless updates on open issues to attain positive closure
  • Take on the responsibility as a technical account manager for selected customer(s) addressing changes/updates for the customer as required
  • Build relationships with clients, understanding their systems and business requirements
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers in support of offering an ongoing solution for them
  • Work with the Yardstick development team to conduct Quality Assurance reviews of Yardstick platform features

Test Centre Administrative Coordinator

Full-Time Position, Permanent
Annual Salary: $30,000, $32,000 in 6 months given acceptable performance
Company Benefits (after 3 months probationary period), 2 Weeks Annual Vacation

The Test Centre Administrative Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks associated with test administration services for Yardstick’s high stakes clients and the smooth operation of Yardstick’s international exam centre network. The Test Centre Administrative Coordinator is also responsible, under the supervision/direction of the Test Centre Manager, for pulling together data for regular test centre reporting and conducting content/data accuracy entry and validation for content on the Yardstick platform. This position reports to the Vice President Operations.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the effective and timely execution/fulfillment of all candidate exam centre bookings/actions
  • Assistance with the identification and execution of exam centre network requirements
  • Assistance with the implementation of exam administration standards and protocols (compliance)
  • Assistance with the research and implementation of exam centre network expansion to fulfill current client needs and anticipate new client needs
  • Become trained and act as a proctor of examinations in the Yardstick Edmonton test centre
  • Should the opportunity arise, become trained as and act as a virtual proctor
  • Assistance growing the test centre volume/profitability of the Yardstick Edmonton test centre
  • Become an expert on using Yardstick Measure and T2 platforms in order to meet high stakes customer needs and ensure fast response time to customer issues
  • Conducting question content imports and accuracy validation checks for high stakes customers
  • Conducting platform setup for high stakes customers including creating blueprint categories, metadata schemas, administrative user roles, etc.
  • Addressing Zendesk support tickets for mainly high stakes customers (e.g., creating administrative users) and providing ongoing technical support and platform training to high stakes clients
  • Administrative office support mainly for high stakes customers (e.g., creating binders, copying materials) and other customers as required
  • Other various task from time to time, as directed by senior management or their designate
