This week our psychometrics team hosted certification and licensure experts from across North America at a one-day, comprehensive psychometric seminar.

This exciting event, known as Psychometrics 101: Defensibility Bootcamp, was an enormous success, providing attendees with an overview of all psychometric processes involved in a high stakes certification/licensure assessment context represented by the Assessment Life Cycle. Seminar attendees were exposed to an understanding of each of the six stages of the Assessment Life Cycle through instruction and practical, applied, hands-on group work.

Last week we were thrilled to welcome new Yardstickers to the Edmonton team!

Mark Bennett, who joins Yardstick as Vice President of Product Development, is an experienced software developer and project manager. With over 14 years experience in the software industry, Mark will be our key liaison between Yardstick development and our customers. He will also be involved in the strategic direction of Yardstick Measure, its growth and direction, and responsible for the execution of new features and customer priorities.

Sheena Bateman comes to Yardstick with a wealth of experience in customer service and operational management and a background in eLearning. A quick study on technology and a fantastic can-do attitude, Sheena will be working with Jenn Lausen to manage our testing centre network.

The Yardstick team is thrilled to announce a new partnership with 3DI and Christie Communications to deliver oil and gas training on behalf of The Well Control School (WCS) of Houston, Texas.

This high profile project is headed by 3DI, a leading developer of interactive simulation-based training systems, and will see the revamp of SYSTEM 21, the most widely recognized well control e-learning system. Christie Communications, an award-winning local Edmonton company will also be on board for this project, bringing their innovative multimedia and custom e-learning capability to the table.

Located in Toronto, this new office will be our first physical expansion and will serve as the Eastern headquarters for all of our professional testing and training services. Yardstick EAST will also be home to a world-class testing centre, similar to the Edmonton Exam Centre.
