This is big news…big news! Recently we announced the creation of a VP of Product Development position, which bolsters our development division and ensures that we continue to innovate our software product.

Today we are thrilled to announce the addition of serious horsepower in our psychometric services division, as we welcome Senior Psychometrician Michaela Gelin to the Yardstick team.

With a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia, specializing in Measurement, Evaluation, and Research Methodology, Michaela is well poised to provide the full gamut of psychometric services in the Assessment Life Cycle to high stakes testing clients in any sector. She comes to Yardstick with over a decade of psychometric experience working for well-respected organizations such as CTB/McGraw-Hill, the Certified General Accountants of Canada, and the government of New Zealand.

As Senior Psychometrician at Yardstick, Michaela will focus on providing quality psychometric services to Yardstick’s high stakes testing clientele. She will work with Greg Sadesky, VP Psychometric Services and Greg Pope, VP Examination Services to engage clients and ensure their exam programs are defensible. As a standard setting expert having conducting hundreds of standard setting sessions over her career, Michaela is well positioned to work with organizations to ensure that cut scores are set defensibly. In addition, Michaela has the experience in all other areas of the Assessment Life Cycle such as blueprinting, item development, and item/test analysis to meet any psychometric needs that our clients have.
