Yardstick Software is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing relationship builder to join our Ottawa office as a Client Relationship Manager. The successful candidate will strive to create customer delight in existing testing clients in the Ottawa area, and generate increased revenue in the form of repeat business, new testing services (practice exams, Redpen, itematic, etc.) and through custom development.

What you'll be doing
  • Act as the all-encompassing resource to our clients for any needs they have, and ensure we stay accountable to our clients for any ongoing work, questions, new opportunities and renewable agreements.
  • Manage the internal process for contract updates and amendments, renegotiations and expiring contracts with current and new business.
  • Work with Psychometrics, Testing Operations, and Development teams as the internal liaison for client deliverables to all team members, managing new scopes of work, communicating new proposals and contracts to clients and acting as the point of contact throughout the proposal and contract writing process for clients.
  • Account management of existing clients and new clients
  • Overseeing implementations and deliverables to a client
  • Making thoughtful touch points to clients and updating clients on YS testing events, new products and services, events, tradeshows etc.
  • Contract renegotiations and price increases
  • Prioritizing client custom development with the development team, pricing, and billing to clients.
  • Liaison between psychometrics, operations and development to fulfill client deliverables
  • Transitioning T2 clients to Measure
  • Closing new practice exam opportunities with existing clients.
  • Manage and maintain proposal and contract due dates, ensure that all files are delivery in a timely, and accurate fashion
  • Communicate internally with our experts as need to acquire the data needed to finalize an agreement or proposal.
  • Work with Psychometric and Testing Operations teams to ensure new scopes of work for current clients is to their exacting standards
  • Provide support to the sales team for proposals, including writing of content, submission of questions, and editing
Qualities we love
  • Must be bilingual (French & English)
  • Previous account management experience
  • Post-secondary education, especially in business, marketing/communications, or the equivalent in experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with inside sales or customer service
  • Experience with customer relationship managements tools (e.g., Salesforce) (training will be provided)
    • Microsoft Office Applications Proficiency
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Capability to proactively identify opportunities in an efficient and collaborative manner
    • Understands industry technical data, market trends and customers’ requirements
    • Ability to effectively present information to audiences of varied sizes, including live software demos
    • Ability to plan, organize and delegate
    • Fearless ability to open up a conversation with anyone (whether through a phone call or at a networking event), and turn that connection into a lead
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, coupled with interpersonal strengths
    • Strong sense of responsibility; someone who takes ownership of opportunities and sees them through
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
    • Some travel may be required
