Locked Down Browser

The Yardstick locked down browser (YS LDB) is a client-installed application that provides an enhanced level of test taking and website security. The YS LDB has the following features:

• Runs full screen, no ability to run other applications
• All browser controls are disabled other than refresh, forward and back
• Prevents select / copy / paste
• Printing is disabled
• Print screen functionality is disabled
• Test takers cannot exit or minimize testing interface
• Function keys are disabled
• HTML page source is not accessible
• No url bar, users cannot navigate away from test
• Approved whitelist url / resource linking in new tabs
