Random acts of kindness

A warm beverage on a cold day. A friendly greeting. Public kudos for a job well done. We take the time to show we care, and the company picks up the tab.

What our staff say:


To me Random Acts of Kindness are the ways we show each other how much we care and respect everyone. They can be small things like helping unload the dishwasher or brushing the snow off their car when it snows, up to bigger things like staying late to help someone with a big project on a short timeline or helping them change a flat tire on their car (one of the owners actually did this). And donuts, sometimes people just need donuts.

I remember when I was a teacher, I had an intern who asked me what my teaching philosophy was, and I said that I always tried to remember that I was there for my students. That’s how I picture my role here at Yardstick as well. Being a Customer Delight Hero means standing in someone else’s shoes and trying to make their experience better. Exams are stressful so, for me, I know I’ve been a Customer Delight Hero when I have eased that stress so the candidate can focus totally on being successful.
