We personally go through each application. The purpose of this step is to determine if a candidate might be a good fit for a position. Do they have the right experience or qualifications? Does the expected compensation match the budget for the position? If the hiring manager likes what they see, we flag you for a phone screen with People Operations (POps).
Someone from People Operations will get in touch to schedule a phone interview. We would love to learn more about you and answer any questions you may have about the job. Our goal is to introduce the candidate to the Yardstick culture and do a preliminary assessment of whether there is a good culture fit.
We like what we’ve seen! We meet with you face-to-face to discuss the position further. You will be meeting with the hiring manager to discuss the role and how your qualifications and experience make you the golden fit. We will be confirming the assessment made in the phone interview, including fit with career interests and goals, as well as fit with Yardstick’s culture, vision, and core values.
Role depending — This is your chance to strut your stuff. When a role requires a certain level of technical competence, or will be supervising other employees, we may ask you to complete a work sample test. If you’re a software developer, you might do some coding. If you’re hoping to land a senior level marketing position, we’ll get you to complete a business case for us.
Role depending — You’ve almost made it! For some roles, a senior leader or members of the team want a chance to meet our top candidate(s) to assess how well you will get along with your team, and determine long-term fit with the company.
